Each Tuesday during the Summer kayaking program TAASC will offer an evaluation of equipment and user skills at the TAASC Adventure Center.
The assessments will be conducted during the hours for the kayak program (6:00 PM to 8:00 PM). You must have an appointment for this evaluation by clicking on the Calendar button at the top of the page and register.
The assessment will include an overview of the various types of handcycles and the participant's abilities to match you with the best possible equipment to meet your needs, abilities, and enjoyment.
We recommend bringing family and friends who may accompany you on your rides to this assessment.
The assessment also includes a short ride at the TAASC Adventure Center to ensure we have assigned the correct cycle to you and make sure you know how to properly use the cycle.
Cycle evaluations are free to TAASC members. Helmets are required when using the cycles. If you have your own helmet, please bring it. Otherwise, we will try to provide a helmet for you. Evaluations are required before TAASC members can rent a cycle or participate in a Group Ride (date TBD).
